I made mummy cry
The day I had to let Drew leave for Rainbow Bridge I put his battered old soft hedgie toy on the top of false log burner next to Peters ashes and then last week I got Drews ashes back and they came in a lovely card tube as wanted to put some of him in with Peters ashes and just scatter a few around the garden and where Drew loved to lie on the top terrace lawn in the summer....I also let Bibsy sniff the tube and then put the tube on the top of log burner next to his hedgie and Peter. That very same evening I was sat in the chair and Bibsy was on the sofa ...I noticed Bibsy staring at the log burner(which is never on I might add and only electric one) and all of a sudden she jumped off the sofa and walked gently over and sat infront of it staring up..as if she knew or saw something..then so calmly got up on her hind legs and took Soft Hedgie and carried it into the bedroom and put it onto the bed. She has not touched Drews hedgie ever since we got her until then. That fetched tears from me...but then of course had to stop and cuddle Dear Bibsy bless her..they know so much more don't they? I have been taking her out lots and yesterday to a place I had not gone since Peter left and also today another place and plying lots with her in the house etc...she has Stiggie the kitty also for company . Hugs and kisses Annie and Bibsy and Drew over the bridge xxxxxxxx

Oh Annie, that brought tears to my eyes. Bibs knows that he is gone and she misses him. Glad you can get out with her and keep busy. God bless

Re: I made mummy cry
Oh Annie, Bibsy is mourning Drew and I suspect she felt his presence at that moment when she took his hedgie and placed it in her bed. I'm sure it still has Drew's scent on it and this is her way of keeping him close even if she can't see him, bless her heart. My eyes are full of tears just thinking of how you felt at that moment. When we lost Kelsie, her kitties went from room to room, softly calling for her and that about broke my heart. Our furbabies feel so much more than we can ever imagine. I'm so glad that Drew is back home with you and that you and Bibsy are keeping busy. I'm thinking this must be a big adjustment for Stiggies too since she now has the run of the house. Take care and tell Bibsy that Emmie sends her love and soft virtual hugs to her. Love to you all, Deb and Emmie Sue XXXXXXX

Re: I made mummy cry
Oh this tugged at my heart Annie. What sweetness and sadness it is when we see how our pups react in mourning and losing their best friend. So loving of Biba to returned Drews Hedgehog into bed. It's so good that you both are busy going on short trips out to places you have been before to reassure Biba. Our Prayers and Hugs to you both xoxoxox Love Sandra & Master Gradyxox
