Update on Miss Jewel
Hi everyone, BoBo Bryce here. Things have been crazy around here with my foster sister Jewel. Our Mummy took her back to the Vet Internist concerning her Cushings Disease. Everything is looking good so she is continuing on her medicine. That was good news. Jewel developed an infection on her back side and under her tail. We took her to the Vet and she was put on an antibiotic. After several weeks we noticed that it was not healing so our Mummy took her back to our Vet. Vet sent a culture out to the lab and it came back positive for MRSA which is a bad bacteria that doesn't respond to many antibiotics! So our Vet had to change antibiotic and it was in the form of an ointment. Miss Jewel would not let our Mummy apply it to her infection so she had to take her in everyday to our Vet so the Vet techs could muzzle her and apply the medicine. I told Jewel that was not very nice of her. Our Mummy is trying to help her. Well fortunately the infection is gone now!!!! We are all worn out here. Hoping things settle down now!!!! Oh Bryce, you an Jewel an your Mommy certainly been habin a time of it! We is so glad dat Jewel is doin so good on her meds an eben happier dat her infection has healed up! I can tell you dat I am touchy bout my tail so I can understand why Jewel wouldn't let your Mommy put da ointment on. Oh BoBo Bryce and Jewel....wot a fing to have happened ...well bofe good news in the end wiv one being that the meddies are working on the Cushings for yoo Jewel and that the infection has gone fwom yor botty end...but now we weckon yoo must give yor mummy lots of snuggle cuddles for helping yoo to feel much better and also Bro BoBo Bryce for watching everyfing going on...our Mummy says yor mummy must be tired and relieved at the same time...we keep checking that yoo all doing alright.Big Huggies and kissies to yoo all.Lov Bibsy Drew and Mummy xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So good to see your update. Oh Louise this is some very good news on sweet Jewel! So nice to hear that the meds are working good with her cushings.(hugs) Sorry she got an infection and sounds like it was some struggle getting the meds on it...good it is under control and gone now. I'm guessing that BoBo is being a wonderful watch over his sissie. What a sweet pair they are!!
