Raphael, age 11 weeks
"“Raphael” is named for the archangel Raphael, who is the Angel of Healing and the name means “G-d has healed” in Hebrew. And that’s a good thing because our own little angel is going to need all the help he can get. Raphie comes to us from a farm breeder who has surrendered him to us because the little fellow has a Grade 4 out of 6 heart murmur.
Little Raphie is going to get all the care and treatment he needs. And he will need a full workup y a cardiologist and other medical expenses to make sure that we are doing all that we can do to make sure that this precious little pup will lead a normal, healthy happy life from puppyhood on to happily ever after. And if you can, please help Col. Potter to help Raphael, your gifts are always heaven sent to us. Raphael is being fostered in Maryland. "

He looks precious and full of life already! I'm sure he'll have no problems finding a home that can deal with his heart issue. It doesn't look like it holds him back any.

He is absolutely beautiful! Hopefully he will be adopted into a loving home who will care for him. The rescue I work with saved a Westie puppy back in 2017. Cid was born with a grade 5 of 6 heart murmur, has a hole in his heart and severe pulmonary stenosis. He was given 1 1/2yr to live without treatment. That was almost 7 years ago and 2 surgeries later and is is 7 years old now and living the good life in his permanent foster home. He is just so special. It sounds like this sweet little pup has a good chance to live the good life. I hope Col. Potter can find him the perfect home!!!!

Yes, this isn't CPCRN's first heart murmur pup! If anyone lurking is wary of adopting this sweet little Westie boy, don't be afraid. He has the potential to live a long and normal life. He sure looks like a pup who won't be kept down! Foster family/chauffeur has their hands full, I'm sure.
Did anyone see the line up for the Puppy Bowl this year?
A couple of special needs players this year. Last year we had Joey, who I had the pleasure of seeing in real life last summer. He was a huge hit with kids and so calm and quiet while everyone wanted to see him and pet him. A great little ambassador for rescuing special needs pups.
