Emmy vs. Broccoli
OK, first of all we have never encountered a food that Emmy does not want... she stares at us whenever we eat ANYTHING and often gets a sample or two since who can resist those big brown eyes?
So last night Evelyn dropped a small broccoli floret from her plate and Emmy went for it like a rocket. Usually, she just swallows things whole to avoid having us snatch it away, but this time she stood there holding it in her mouth as I ran toward her. I yelled "drop it!" and she opened her jaws just enough to drop it on the floor. Then she stared at it, sitting there on the carpet.
Wait, WHAT? A morsel she had rightfully captured now left uneaten? A miracle! Photo proof below...
(P.S. - For you Seinfeld fans, you may remember Newman's comment "Vile Weed!" after tasting a bit of broccoli...)

Oh Mark, I'm still laughing at the look on Emmy's face as she gazes at the "foreign object"! Since we don't eat broccoli, our Emmie hasn't had the experience of tasting it but she will eat cauliflower if she gets the chance!Still laughing, Deb and Emmie Sue

Emmy's expression is priceless in this picture! The guardian of the floor she is. Anything drops it's hers but it better be something delish or you can have it back thank you.hahahaMy husband can be known to drop food sometimes so you can just imagine whos chair Grady patrols.Even broccoli has gotten captured and eaten. Emmy gets our POW vote..love the picture !!
